Crown Lengthening Treatment Process
The procedure begins with the dentist making small incisions in the gum tissue to access the tooth and root. Once the area is prepared, the gums will be stitched back into place, and the area will be cleaned thoroughly.
Crown lengthening is considered a minor surgical procedure with minimal discomfort during recovery. We will prescribe pain medication and provide detailed aftercare instructions to ensure a smooth healing process. After about a week, you’ll return to our office for a follow-up visit to remove the stitches and check on the healing progress. Once fully healed, we will move forward with placing your permanent crown.
